FEES Opens S.Y. 2023-2024 Right!
Fourth Estate Elementary School (FEES), headed by Dr. Teresita S. Rodriguez, formally opens school year 2023 – 2024 on August 29, 2023 and will end on June 14, 2023. This is in pursuant to Republic Act No. 11480, otherwise known as an Act to Lengthen the School Calendar from Two Hundred (200) Days to Not More Than Two Hundred twenty (220) Class Days.
As per school data, four thousand, one hundred fifty-three (4,153) pupils from Kinder to Grade 6 have enrolled for this academic year in which one hundred (119) classes are organized. The Special Needs Education (SNEd) Program caters eighty-nine (89) pupils with eight (8) sections according to the pupils’ needs and disabilities. Initially, the Alternative Learning System (ALS) has ten (10) out-of-school youth and adult learners to be given the opportunity for learning through Informal Education (InfEd).
FEES logged the third highest number of enrollees among the twenty-seven elementary schools in Parañaque City. The school opens amidst the lack of classrooms, which is a persistent problem in education in the Philippines. While DepEd is working on this, Dr. Rodriguez, the school principal, schedules classes on shifts to accommodate all the learners, assuring a better quality of education. It is to assuage and to bring about all that is good from the learner’s educational experience despite all the challenges.
With the guidance and diligence of the school head, one hundred thirty-eight (138) dedicated and committed faculty members, and twenty-three (23) hardworking non-teaching personnel have been continually working hand in hand not only for the betterment of the school but also for the benefit of the studentry.
