World Teachers’ Day is an annual observance that promotes assessing, appreciating, improving the educators of the world, amassing attention to the issues that affect teachers and other education professionals around the globe.
Teachers are in a unique position to have a direct impact on their students. One of the principal goals many teachers set for themselves is to be the best educator they can be, which is to make a difference, not only to change the lives of their students but also to change the face of education.
Teachers inspire and encourage their students to be their best version of themselves. With this, there is something extremely gratifying about imparting information to their students, the reason why Fourth Estate Elementary School (FEES) celebrated World Teachers Day last October 4, 2021, with the theme, “Gurong Filipino: Katuwang sa Hamon, Kasama sa Pagbangon” headed by the Supreme Pupils Government (SPG) with their adviser, Mrs. Ginalyn T. Fabros and another one was October 6.
The programs were set to give honor and pay tribute to the valuable contributions of FEES teachers. Some guests gave special greetings, started with Atty. Jed Frias, Legal Consultant of the City Mayor, Hon. Vice Mayor Rico Golez, Councilors Wahoo Sotto, and Ryan Yllana, Hon. Brgy. Captain Leopoldo C. Casale, and the GPTA President, Mr. Judy D. Bagaan.
Some FEES alumni and other guests also shared their greetings with the teachers. Among them were Mr. Rico Hizon, Senior Anchor and Director for News Content Development, CNN Philippines, Mrs. Catherine C. Kapunan, former kinder teacher, Tita Krissy Achino, famous vlogger, Warren Ocopio, member of National Defense, and Samantha Sadhwani, correspondent, CNN Philippines. Mrs. Annie Conchina, a former colleague and now a retired teacher, gave her special greetings also. Dand Mark M. Vergoza, a FEES alumnus, showed his singing talent as a tribute to the teachers.
